Riding along or against the waves. Hearty sea shanties between the battle of ships and the hunt of majestic creatures
This game did not catch my attention when it was first came out. I'm not a fan of adventures of pirates or adventures on the sea and islands. I always prefer going to mountains and forest rather than islands and beaches for my vacation. So somehow, I ignore this game for a while. Which is a good thing. Since the price has dropped quite a lot. And to buy it during the Ubisoft sales occasion makes it even cheaper.
Once again, I have been proven that watching a game-play and playing one is a whole different experience. Despite the fact stated above that I don't really prefer the game settings in this kind of environment, I have to say that I love it.
As this is quite a late review, I will not dwell on the features of the game but rather what I really enjoy. It's the feeling of freedom, the feeling of being a pirate. (Though you will experience both joy and misery of the pirates in the main stories). You sail your own ship with your own crew, singing shanties (which I really like) and braving the sea. There are various weather conditions. And fighting a fleet of ships in the storm is one of the best experiences yet.
I only play the first AC and AC Unity. Black Flag is the third AC game I play. And I have to say, overall, it's better than Unity.
