Xbox One Wireless Controller Not Working FIXED***
I have the adapter and have everything updated. Only my D-pad works.

Maybe getting Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories could help.

Just a suggestion try disabling Steam's controller support.
Go to "Steam", "Settings"
In the new window go to "Controller" and "General Controller Settings"
Unselect "Xbox Configuration Support"

It's supposed to allow you to use your controller in games without native support but I've found it interferes with games that have native support (disabling thumbsticks and some buttons).
