Cannot get steam overlay or steam achievements to track

So I, like many, was having the issue with the launcher getting stuck. I fixed it by taking some advice from this forum, but now Steam does not track the game in anyway. Anyone now how to add it to tracking official. I know I can add it as a nonsteam supported game, but since I downloaded from steam that seems weird since I'd like my steam achievements and steam ingame overlay to work also!

Not sure why it doesn't work now as it was working closer to the game's launch. Wonder why it's now broken.
