Is this game monthly subscription?
Is it monthly subsription like SWTOR? I'm just asking. There's no problem to that it's just that I think I would prefer SWTOR because of the content and choices/voice acting etc. but this game is cool too just wondering.

Having played both? DCUO is far, far better. SWTOR has its amazing story and voice acting, and I loved the characters...but it's combat was horrible and repetitive. DCUO might not have the superior storytelling, but a game can't survive on that alone.

DCUO has a monthly option, yes, but you can choose every three months, six months, or just once a year. (With prices scaling accordingly)

DCUO is free to play with few restrictions for those who don't want to pay $15/ month, more minor inconveinences that won't stop you from playing all the base content. There are DLCs that are about $10 each that give access to new power types to build your character as well as a lot of other content and new areas. You can get plenty out of the f2p model and if you decide to pick up a DLC in the future they're always on sale for $5 or less (often times sony has 2x or 3x promotion on station cash.. So you can buy $5 worth, wait for the DLC to got 50% and get 3 of the for $5)

Either way , the game is really fun to just pick up and play. It has full controller support as an option so to me the game plays like a super hero beat em up with RPG progression. I've been playing it off and on for years and I love the fact I can do it without paying a monthly fee.

The artwork and direction is exceptionally well done and all the story lines are true to the DC mythos. If you're a DC or comic book fan, this game is about as good as it gets.
