Lost characters and Dlc?

Ok so I'd been away from the game for a long time and decided to go back. Originally i'd installed from disc but I couldn't find it so I just downloaded the game from steam. Once I logged in all my characters are gone and I can't access the Dlc I originally owned?

Steam...what else is new?
Monopolies rarely care about content as long as you are buying their games...I had to DL from SoE since Steam breaks everything related to this game...no achievements no nothing anymore..good ole Steam

I went to Soe and created a ticket yesterday but no reply as of yet

That's really strange because I just started getting back into the game a couple months back and had stopped playing about 5-6months after release. All my characters were there, but slightly renamed with a weird tag at the end, but they were saved! It may be because of their recent change to the SoE online gaming setup. It works like perfect world now where the credit you buy works on all the games from sony. Hopefully that's not it tho and you will get your characters back!

no donations in this game...this ain't no private server hack job. You might be use dto those but not here. As for others...are you using the PSG or SOE? It looks like the majority of you having this issue have been gone for a lengthy period of time. Games, particularily those with subscriptions available, will simply delete any unused account after a given period of time. This is especially true if you use common names that gamers vie for upon new releases. IT says in the EULA and ToS that they have the right to delete any account not in use or found abusing the ToS/EULA. You have no intellectual rights to virtual property that is owned by the company you pay. Sometimes it pays to read the ToS...

is it possible that you are accessing the wrong server when you get the game launcher make sure that you check which server you are going to througgh the top right menus check the different servers I noticed this as I had not played for a few years but my characters where all gone this was because the launcher had changed the server to the American version instead of the EU version. Hope this helps

Yeah Its my bad guys first time around I'd been playing on the ProSieben launcher to begin with then when I came back I got it through steam which uses the SOE launcher. So redownloaded it and all my stuff is there

funny thing is that they will be ditching prosieben soon and you'll have to switch. (makes you wonder why they bother having them in the 1st place)
