DirectX 10 Requirements
Some people may be wondering what's up with the DX10 requirements. The game itself uses DX9, but we're using XNA's HiDef mode which assumes all the features of DX9 are available. The only way to guarantee that is if your graphics card supports DX10. XP users can still play the game as long as they have a GPU made in the last few years.

Even if you don't have a graphics card that supports DX10, you can still try to play the game. If you go to Properties->Set Launch Options and type "forceHiDef" it will bypass the check. We don't guarantee it will work, so use at your own risk.

My friends computer can't run it because everytime he tries playing it, his card dosnt support directX 10. Is there anything else we can do to get it to run on his computer because he really wants to play it.

i can't run it because it says my driver is reporting it can't, and to update the driver when its already up to date. my drivr is a mobile Intel(r) 4 series express Chipset Family btw

I am having the same problem. I have a video card that supports directx 11! I also have an older card for a 3rd monitor, which could be messing it up. Not sure how to fix it.

If you use NVidia cards, an NVidia GeForce 8000 or better will meet the requirement.

I have a pretty old laptop but it does have a card that supports directX 10 and it uses directX 10. Yet I still can't start the game because I apparently don't have the minimum requirements. Why is this happening?

if you have 2 gpus eg one intel and one high powered nvidia you put " -force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x1180" in to launch options to force the nvidia and make the game recognis the nvidi. for ati/amd im not sure
