Curses, diseases and other negative effects
What happens to my character when he is under Curse effect? His icon turns green, but I can't figure out what's wrong with him. The same goes for Fear and Insanity effects.

And what do 'Disease resistance' and 'Magic resistance' mean? What do they protect from? From what spells or effects? I haven't encountered any diseases yet, for example.

This seems like another undocumented feature in Inquisitor, but according to the rules I have at my disposal, it should be like this:

- Curse: The character's Armor Class value (not to be confused with the armor's Armor Class value) lowers by the value of the dangerousness (the strength) of the enemy's Curse spell, the base weapon hit probability lowers as well (possibly also by the spell dangerousness, but this is not specified in the rules).
- Fear: The character's Armor Class value lowers by 1/2 of his Dexterity value, his spell penetration halves.
- Insanity: The spell penetration and the character's Intelligence lower by the spell dangerousness.
- Poisoning: The character loses his Health for a certain time.
- Drunkenness: The character's Intelligence and Dexterity lower by the spell dangerousness, while the Strength increases by the spell dangerousness.
- Blindness: The weapon hit probability halves, 1/2 of the character's Dexterity is not counted towards his Armor Class, mouse cursor becomes invisible.
- Paralysis: A paralysed character cannot cast spells, move or fight. Only the armor's Armor Class value is counted towards the character's Armor Class value. All hits to the paralysed character are considered critical.
- Slow: The character fights and moves with only half of his usual speed while this spell lasts.
- Stunned: The character can only defend himself, usually lasts only for a very short time. (It is possible that this effect wasn't implemented in the end.)
- Confusion: The base weapon hit probability lowers by the spell dangerousness while the spell penetration lowers by a half of the spell dangerousness. Mouse cursor starts shaking.

There are also two other negative effects:
- Exhaustion: Takes effect when the character's Stamina lowers below 10% of its maximum value or if the character is hit by a "weakening attack". The character cannot run, the weapon hit probability, the probability of successfully casting a spell and the attack speed halve. Active skills cannot be used. (This is what often happens to new players if they do not watch closely their Stamina level.)
- Disorientation: Not documented, but according to the game tips "Disorientation makes the mouse cursor shake temporarily".

Diseases affect attributes and thus lower the maximum value of Health, Mana and Stamina. The lowered attributes then affect the character's speed, weapon hit probability, Magical Resistance and the probability of successfully casting a spell. Diseases cannot lower an already achieved mastery level even if the relevant attribute's value falls back below the value required by the respective mastery level. A character can be diseased only if 1/2 of his Constitution is lower than the disease dangerousness, otherwise the character is automatically immune. Diseases can be cured only with a spell or a potion whose strength must be higher than the disease dangerousness.

There are several diseases to be suffered:
- Plague: All attributes lower by 1 in a certain time interval until they reach the value of 1.
- Leprosy: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution and Speed lower by 1 in a certain interval until they reach 10% of their original values.
- Fever: All attributes lower by 1 in a certain interval until they reach 50% of their original values.
- Smallpox: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution and Speed lower by 1 in a certain interval until they reach 10% of their original values.
- Polio: Strength, Dexterity, Speed and Intelligence lower by 1 in a certain interval until they reach the value of 1.

(Speculation: It is possible that one can suffer Plague from the Plague spell, and the rest of the diseases from the Swarm of Flies spell based on the mastery level of the caster in Heretical Magic. It also seems there are other ways to suffer a disease.)

Disease Resistance (or "Disease Immunity") could affect the value of Constitution that is checked to see if the character is immune. But this is just my guess because the rules say nothing about this. This resistance can be increased with various items.

Magic Resistance is a resistance of a monster/character against spell attacks. A monster's Magic Resistance should be calculated as 1/2 of its level + 1/2 of its Intelligence. A character's base Magic Resistance should be defined by his Intelligence (because the Intelligence tooltip says "Each Intelligence point increases [...] Magic Resistance by 1") and it can be further increased by items, spells or potions. If I'm not mistaken, there is no place to see your character's current value of Magic Resistance.

Thank you. I didn't know all this information.

- Disorientation: Not documented, but according to the game tips "Disorientation makes the mouse cursor shake temporarily".
It inverts the cursor movement. Irritating.

This is interesting. I've only had Fever a few times.
