Xbox 360 wired controller no longer working in game
Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit.
Above recommended specs.

I bought the game and had a wired Xbox 360 controller plugged in. The game detected it, I played through the intro and my first character, then I went to the title screen (which saved), then I quit the game. I unplugged my controller. I hibernated my laptop and came back. I plugged in my controller to the same port. For some reason it said "Installing drivers" as if it detected a new device (it no longer does this on subsequent unplug/plugins, and with other USB ports). Now the game won't detect the controller. The controller is detected by Steam's Big Screen and Windows.

When I am in game, the game controller detection option says "Yes." There is no way to toggle between keyboard and controller... why?

Note: I have not rebooted my computer yet. I will do that and reply with the results after.

I:
-Unplugged controller
-Restarted computer
-Plugged controller in
-Started steam.
-Started Rogue Legacy, and it works!

So I don't know what caused this, however, I noticed something vital: when I was having trouble with the controller, the middle Xbox light was glowing in the top right quadrant, which is for player 2... I only had one controller in.

After the reboot the controller properly lit up the top left quadrant, indicating player 1. For some reason, the controller glitched out when I plugged it in a second time or perhaps the game caused the problem.

In short: reboot to fix!
