How to Add Rogue Legacy to Avira Exception List
For those experiencing the Trojan message while playing Rogue Legacy, here's how to add the game to the exception list in Avira (Thanks to Steam user plop!)

- open Avira
- in the top menu, go to Extras -> Configuration
- in the left menu, go into PC Protection -> Real-Time Protection -> Scan -> Exceptions
- add RogueLegacy.exe to the bottom list and click OK

well..why does avira detect it as a trojan?
Cellar Door Games  [Entwickler] 28. Juli 2013 um 10:22 Uhr
I wish I knew. There's no trojan in it. I'm assuming the pirated version has a trojan and now avira is picking up the retail version as having a trojan too.

Please make an official post on the Technical Support forums (on the right) and we'll help you out. But to get you started, try the 3 following things first:

- Update video card drivers.

- Verify game files (Steam only).

- Reinstall the .NET and XNA framework files (please restart your system after re-install). The file locations are listed below:

Steam location:

Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rogue Legacy\_CommonRedist\XNA
Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rogue Legacy\_CommonRedist\DotNet

I imagine you guys are using a code obfuscator? If so, this can definitely cause avira to show it as a false positive (I had this same problem with Cannon Brawl).

I think it was something on Avira's end, because if I'm not mistaken they've updated their virus definitions and no one is having this problem anymore.
