Same thing here. Would be nice if the developers would give us some clarification.

It called a false postive. Should be fine to run unless Vavle got hacked which is very unlikely. They wouldn't let a blant trojan be uploaded and sold.

samer here, i am sure its a "False positive" :)
But a developer comment would be nice.
Maybe in a other forum ?

wow great comment

anyways, glad to see this is happening to other people and not just me. The game was fine just yesterday, but Avira updated today so maybe there's something to do with that.

I had the same thing happen with Unity of Command a couple months ago with Norton, and it was a false positive. Norton isn't picking up a false positive on this particular exe though, so it is reading as clean on my machine.

As only people with Avira Antivir seem to be getting those trojan warnings, it's pretty obvious that it's a false positive.

Yes you can, click the "Details," tab when the Antivirus pop up comes up after initializing Rogue Legacy. It should scan your system and the TR/Rogue.44426 will show up by itself in a window. Right click the virus name and click on, "Always Ignore."

I'm amazed people still use those awful free downloaded "Anti"-viruses. Microsoft Security Essentials does the job fine and isn't an annoying POS that scares you into thinking games you just bought are viruses.

If the game's been working for the past few days and antivirus software is suddenly detecting it as a virus, then it's most likely an issue with the updated virus definitions. There have been no updates of the game for almost a week, and no, the game is not a trojan.

If I had to guess why this is happening, it's most likely the pirated version of the game has a trojan in it, and now virus definitions are picking the retail EXE as a false positive.

Unfortunately we can't troubleshoot issues with antivirus software. There should be a way to add Rogue Legacy to the exceptions list.
