Upside down?
I love the game - its fun and fresh - but when I became upside down I just lost all respect for the gameplay... I wanted more of the 'same' and you gave me 'look what I can do!'... im frustrated and lost...

some of those things are too hard in my opinion, whenever i see a upside down one i just ignore it... i guess thats how its supposed to be

Just don't select any character with the vertigo trait.

Frankly the vertigo trait should have some bonus to it, double gold possibly, cause it really just makes things infinately harder with no reward to it.

It's just intended as a joke. It's rare enough that it doesn't need a buff to make it more desirable, since it isn't like you'll roll three children with it.

FYI: If you beat the final boss with a Vertigo character, your Vertigo gets cured.

Was so awkward to see my game flip back to normal the moment I did the final blow.

PS: I love Vertigo and consider it a fun challenge to play. After all, it's okay if you die in this game, what's the penalty?

That is crazy, I can barely survive a few rooms let alone get anywhere near a boss with vertigo on.

Just seems a waisted trait... Traits should have some positives and negatives. There should be a reason to use the arch for this trait, and I have yet to see one.

Just bought the game and my third character had vertigo. Was so awkward at first but it's a fun challenge. I actually got further than my other characters, while using vertigo. I don't mind the challenge, but it's annoying that you can't read anything because the text is all flipped

IBS is a wasted trait. What are the perks of near/far sightedness? Is there some benefit to casting spells in the wrong direction? Is there some downside to not activating floor traps with PAD? Is eidetic memory ever a bad thing?

Some traits are more positive than negative. Some traits are more negative than positive. That's the whole point of the game.

first time I really played a long game in vertigo was when I really gained respect for this game. Yes, it is terribly annoying, but after about 10 minutes, you will actually get a feeling of vertigo. This occurs especially... strong? if you force yourself to read everything. After probably the 15 minute mark I felt mildly nauseous. But the REALLY fun part, is that after about 20 - 25 minutes I got completely used to it. Then once I died and started a new character, it was very difficult to adjust back to usual game play.

This sort of thing is EXACTLY what this game is all about. Yes it's just a joke trait, and you don't have to take it, but after playing with it, you really get the sublties of it once you switch back to something (same with color blind and all of the blurred visions).

I have also tried playing with the Vertigo trait. You can get used to it but whats really whacky is that when you have a normal character afterwards.. you really do get this fear of falling and jump when you are not supposed to.. or fall off the platform when you are supposed to jump. I think its the gravity shift that causes this sensation. Quite a fun experience if you give it a chance.

Vertigo would be better if you were upside-down and gravity worked backwards but the levels themselves were normal - i.e. gravity reversal for just you - not anyone else.

I like Vertigo, particularly with the Dragon class- flying around upside down is great fun!

The first time I used a vertigo character I went into a trap room with spikes at the bottom and the only way to get out was to down-attack the pads. I couldn't get out and I died. My fault for wondering what could be down there :(
