Help on first boss?
Any tips for the first boss? I think I need to grind more, just wondering if I may be missing something obvious. I've been trying to use a Paladin to kill him.

I personally used Hokage with Gigantism and stayed on the floor to the right of the eye.

It also helps if you fight him a couple of times to get the pattern down and then just kite away.

Gigantism does help, you may need some more health as you are likely to get hit by projectiles more often. Dwarfism also works but you have to be very close to the boss. The main tactic if you need to be close is to back up and do simple dodging when he has the more random projectiles going. When he is doing the spiral projectile move, just go with the flow and jump to the other side, it should clear out by the time you get to the other side. hit as much as possible, rinse, repeat.

Have dash and vault runes, they allow for easy dodging.

I used a paladin at level 45 I think. Same deal as the other posters; it was my 4th or 5th try, I walked the spiral shot and just tried to dodge the aimed shots.

Ok, I'm way too under leveled lol. I have no runes and am only on my 10th character I think.

I think I eneded up using Barbarian King to do this boss, lots of HP and the shout for clearing the screen of projectiles in sticky situations makes it relatively easy. Any spell that will hit it multiple times per cast will help too.
Edit: I don't remember, but does this boss have spike traps on the floor? Periphiral Arterial Disease would help with that if they're much of a problem.

I personally have a lot of trouble with this boss, so much that i just ragequit. Some people say it's easy but it sure isn't at least for me, for someone that hasn't played a lot of old school platformers. There's so much ♥♥♥♥ flying in the screen i panic and before i even know what happened i'm dead, i'm lvl 45 btw and not undergeared i just can't beat the boss... i often get stuck on some platform (i press down and A on my controller but i guess i didn't push down hard enough because my guy just often stays still) or those spikes hit me and even if i manage to dodge the attacks i don't have time to hit the boss because he is already doing the next spell.

I don't really have any trouble on any other normal enemies in the first area, just the boss, it's also pain in the a** to try to find the boss room if you just want to kill the boss and get it over with you have to fight million enemies unless you're lucky. Seriously considering just using a trainer or something, it's not fun at all just annoying, especially because like i said i can't immediately try again i have to fight million enemies first and since i'm so annoyed and want to get to the boss fast i'll make mistakes and sometimes even die to normal enemies.

I have watched some videos of someone doing the boss, some of them look very easy but i can't pull that off, i guess i just suck but everything just seems to be happening faster when i play myself.

So yeah there's my rant about the boss -.-
and yes i'm writing this right after ragequitting so excuse me if i'm a little emotional in my post.

Use the architect to lock down the castle (Architect has to be unlocked too), u get the same castle as the previous run, and u should be able to teleport to the boss. U can continuously do this so if u die u can try out a different class.
Downside is u only obtain 70% of dat yummy gold. And bosses drop loads of gold.

Or just run through to other areas get better at dodging, using ur magic and class special, upgrade gear/stats and one run u might just feel confident enough u can clear it.

Use the Ninja + stand to the left of the boss + smash X = win

You'll get hit a couple times, but you should be able to burn him down before he does the same to you.

i forgot what char u used but i remember using the sword wall magic alot there since the boss never moves n the sword wall just keeps doing damage when u set it.

Why use tactics and strategy when you can just use Barbarian King's ability to remove every single attack?

Jump onto the platform, spam attack, shout, spam attack, shout, spam attack.
