Mac and Linux Versions Out Now!
It's been a long time coming, but we're very happy (and relieved) to announce that the Mac and Linux versions of Rogue Legacy have been released! We want to thank everyone who has been patiently waiting and we hope you enjoy it.

If you've already purchased the game, all that you need to do is load up your Steam client, and the game should start downloading.

Happy Gaming!

Yeah, the Mac/Linux version will occasionally (or consistently) hang on exit. This is unique to the Steam version, and is actually a bug that's shared with several Mono-based titles (many of which I've worked on, ack). The hang is at the absolute end of the program, so you should be able to kill it safely when it happens. For some reason, Steam likes to send a SIGUSR1 signal on exit, and Mono ends up intercepting it... not sure how to fix this.

Should probably have backed it up instead of straight-up deleting it.

But I'm happy about the save slots, it's better incentive to start over if I don't have to backup saves manually!

I'm also planning to use Linux as much as possible soon, so it's nice to know there's Linux support as well.

Yeah, pretty much. Interestingly, when you take out Steamworks, it won't hang even when run through Steam. So there's that, too.

Thanks a lot for the Linux version!

Just one problem over here, I don't see an option to set my resolution to 2560x1440 or even 1920x1080. Just 1920x1200. :\

We get the resolution list from SDL2, which gets it from the Xorg display list, so if it's supported then it should be there...

If not, try going all the way towards 640x480, then all the way back left to the highest res. Sometimes for the initial config it'll "stick" and max out at the starting resolution.

All else fails, you can poke the desired resolution into GameConfig.ini in XDG_CONFIG_HOME/RogueLegacyStorageContainer/.
