Alexander the IV
Well, seriously, what the point about this boss ? Made 1000+ attempt, is that sh*t at least killable ? Tried every single strategies, none works.

Fix this hitbox, reduce the monster spawn, or else. There's no skill required about it, all is about luck, and only luck.

If anyone can share strategies, please do :)

Here's my strategy that I shared on another discussion :

Trust me on this one, after hours of trying and dying, I got a fairly good way to beat this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Right when the fight start, put your shadow on the upper platform, then wait for Alexander to come for you.
Hit him a few times and when it gets hard, DO NOT GO ON THE RIGHT. Instead, jump off the platform right into the spikes at the bottom. That's right, you'll stay there most of the fight.
By staying on the left side, the furies will stay close to you, so it'll be easy to get your HP back from the spikes.

And the good part is, whenever you stand on the spike, you'll never get hit by Alexander even by his attack. So basically you stay on the spikes, and when Alexander is too far you just jump around like an idiot to kill the furies and gain a bit of health. Just keep doing that, and remember to STAY ON THE LEFT SIDE.

So many times trying this technique I felt like changing my strategy mid-fight because things were getting ugly, but I always died because of that. As soon as I learned to stay on the spikes and only get off when Alexander is too far from me I beat him in about five times.

As for how unfair this boss is, I completely agree. It wasn't fun at all and involved a cheap technique instead of skill. Oh well, pretty happy that it's done now.

To summarize, just stay on the bottom left (the spikes) and only jump to kill the furies to replenish your health, or to get back on a platform if Alexander is too far and you have to wait for him.

Well, thats strat is actually what I'm trying to do, and... still stuck on this.

Do you die from the spikes or from another source? If you don't die by the spikes, try to stay on them longer. The key is to trust this strategy (if you're willing to try it, of course, I'm not saying it's the only way) instead of trying to avoid everything when you have about half of your health.

Well, I try to move when I am 60hp~, still, those hitboxes hit me like magic, or a random mob spawn on me. I can't hold this anymore

I don't understand this strategy at all. Even when he stays down in the corner and I can wail on him the whole time, he just doesn't spawn adds fast enough for the regen to out-pace the damage. I always die before he does, even when I only take spike damage.

But I dont understand the strategy, if I do it, eventually I die by spikes. Am I supposed to wait some time before going to the spikes??
Shiro Dec 21, 2013 @ 3:28pm
I honestly think he got lucky and the AI did exactyly what he needed it to. No matter what I try with this strat, I can usually only get him to half health before I die to spike damage. Certainly, dodging into spikes is a good idea in general, but the whole "Stay on the spikes and wail on him" tactic just doesn't seem to work.
Le Colonel Dec 21, 2013 @ 3:29pm
it looks like the invuln time is totally random too
Le Colonel Dec 21, 2013 @ 3:38pm
well yes,the invuln time after hit totally random ! ....

Like I said when you're too close to die or when Alexander is too far to hit you jump around to kill the furies nearby, and if he gets too close you go back on the spikes. Of course you can jump on the lower platform to get a few more HP if Alexander isn't too close, but it's basically what I did and it seemed way easier like this.
Only my luckiest attempts could get Alexander's health to 1/4 before I did this, and with this strategy I got closer and closer until I beat him in about 5 tries.

So yeah, probably not the best strategy, but I know it works.

Nice! So, did you use a similar strategy?
Le Colonel Dec 21, 2013 @ 4:04pm
Not a similar one, THIS one :) Well, actually, I have the 4 medaillons pieces...and can't fight the brohannes...
YipYapYoup (QC) Dec 21, 2013 @ 4:07pm
Thanks for confirming that it kinda works then!
I'm currently at Ponce de Freon so I don't know what happens after the medaillon is completed. Doesn't look as cheap as Alexander that's for sure.
