I've just made 59k! I was so freaking lucky! I found 2 chest lottery guys and then found the glass that shows the correct chest! :D

but my personal record was around the 45-50K mark, i had cleared litterally the entire map, but yeah not many gold drops :<

After NG+40 or so you start to get 400k from every chest so it isn't really fair to compare a game from that high up. Especially since the assassin can navigate the entire castle with absolutely no risk, probably could rack up 50-100 million of useless gold easily.

Since every new game + completion give you a gold bonus money is no problem! In my +5 or so I got around 600 000 easy.

People really play the game that much? I mean, kind of got bored a few goes into NG+1. It just becomes the same old. Ah well each to their own. I have plenty of other games to play.

Made 100k+ gold on few times per run.

First time was with a Lich whom i got lucky to score the monster gold drop bonus shrine item right in the beginning so going through the castle, forest, everything (killed all the bosses) basicly made me tons of gold.

Second time was in the ng+ when i was playing Spellsword and the same thing pretty much happened + got really lucky with the random chests, as pretty much all dropped multiple gems for me.

Probably around 300k. At NG+3 you don't have a use for money anymore though.

On my FIRST play through (not New Game + or anything) , i managed 500k in a run.

Although it was KINDOF three runs.

In my first game, i had found the 3-Chest room AND Charons Obol.

Kept all the money for next playthrough, found TWO "3-Chest" rooms AND Charons Obol again

In the THIRD run (keeping the same pile of gold going) , i found only the "3-Chest" room. (found 4 different spiritual shrines, but didnt manage to get the Obol again,. woulda been nice to keep it going!)

Did happen to record it because i was pretty proud of myself at the time... lol.

Got 430k aprox (have screenshot) using a lich king and crows in a game +2 almost full equip syphon and cape of vampirism 2 crows are awesome to clean rooms

Once you hit NG+5 or so you could earn enough in a single run to max out the entire upgrade screen in one go... unfortunately you've already done this a long time before that. I wish the upgrades lasted for a lot longer, considering that there is effectively no limit to earnings.
