This can't be right
Just bought the game and it's great fun, BUT:
I'm invincible for half a minute every time i get hit. I'm pretty sure that's not how it's supposed to be, so what can i do to resolve this?

I haven't noticed but I think it's only supposed to be a few seconds

edit: 1-1.5 seconds depending upon your level of the time up upgrade

Bump.

Tried playing again, still same thing.
It's making the game too easy right off the bat, and i'm progressing too fast because of it.

Try tinkering with the settings.

Are you being sarcastic or is invulnerability lasting for literally 30 seconds? If it is, I'd suggest reinstalling, I don't know. Something would have to be broken with the game for that to happen.

I haven't timed it, but i've been invulnerable through two, maybe three rooms after being hit.
I'll try reinstalling, but i doubt that's what happened with the way steam works. I actually don't think i've had a broken install on any game, ever.

I'm no programmer, but could certain hardware/software configurations make strange things like this happen in games?

You must have some kind of bizarre bug going on then. Sounds like you'd have to defer to the devs, I don't think they look here so you might try emailing them to see if they can look into it. If it still does it after reinstalling, I'd say it's some particular interaction with the game and your system. Only the dev would have insight as it would require knowing exactly how the invulnerability timer functions.
