16:10 Resolution Fix!

So i found a fix that worked for me and wanted to share because of all the people who cant get their resolutions working.

Step 1: Downlaod this http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2675769

Step 2: Install and run it

Step 3: Open State of Decay and Windowed Borderless Gaming

Step 4: Set your SoD to 16:9 and 720p then press Alt+Enter

Step 5: Add a window to Windowed Borderless Gaming

Step 6: Press f3 in SoD

Step 7: Set your SoD to 1080p

Step 8: Add another window to Windowed Borderless Gaming

Step9: Press f3 in your SoD again

Step 10: Profit??? No seriously this fixes my resolution which is 1440x900

This may not work for everybody but is sure as hell is worth a shot. This game is amazing but deffinantly needs 16:10 support ASAP, i mean who doesnt love a big monitor?

@Ballaum the fix is for monitors which are of the ratio 16:10. Im guessing if you dont know what the fix is for, then you dont need it. =)

I'm running at 16:10 monitor but 16:9 looks alright although ack spaces at top and bottom of screen. This game does need a 16:10 option :)

@Mansen In my game the entire right screen was cut off, i dont know about you but playing the game without looking at my inventory would have been quite the hasel...

1080p works fine for me for the time being as letterboxed 1920x1080 on my 1920x1200 display. However, I'm a bit surprised that the game doesn't have conventional resolutions and aspect ratio settings. Also, the 2160p setting doesn't scale properly at all on my monitor and is cropped off at the right hand side.

hm i use -full -w 1920 -h 1200 in the steam lauchoption for my res. wo. hassle

@ Doctor Hades Yeah the whole display ration stuff is messed in this game, but its still being ported over so i can look over it. Atleast its a finished game unlike a ton of these "early acess" games that never get patched after the dev grabs the money!

@crusher-666 well when i tried that half of my screen was cut off, and idk if that "wo hassle" stuff at the end of your comment was meant to be witty but this is a hassle for people who want to look at their inventory while playing...

Considering this was the main issue that made me stop playing last night I cannot thank you enough. Game works like a charm now :)

btw : if you open the game while running the app, then open the config settings of the app and enter your resolution you dont need to do the 3times-add-window-thing....at least works for me...

edit : nope, did work 1st time, then didnt. i´ve got no luck with this game -_- ....well whatever, thx, will torture myself by playing it on the tv now ...
