Linux controller: button use repeats
I was pleased to see that my controller works out of the box (Logitech F310 in XInput mode). Pressing the non-directional buttons makes the game think you're mashing it over and over, as if you were using the Turbo function on a knockoff SNES pad. While this isn't an issue for the items, it's mildly annoying while using the sword, though the game is completable. The real problem is that once you get into the map or hint menu, it's a nightmare getting back out again.

I'm seeing this also with my Xbox360 controller in Linux. I just tried it with Luftrausers, and it doesn't experience the same problem in that game (to rule out a Linux driver issue).
I'm having the exact same problem on the xbox wireless gamepad for pc from Microsoft, its definitely the game. Please fix this ASAP devs, thanks.
I'm also experiencing this problem (button press registering every frame). It's troublesome in dialogue (you frequently end up skipping over lines by accident), and a NIGHTMARE in menus.
same problem here. makes the game almost unplayable in linux. :(
I get this, but only on the map and hints (LB and RB). Using a 360 controller and SteamOS. I was doing some testing and noticed there wasn't the same issue on my Arch Linux machine using the same controller.
Okay. This is weird. Just got up and started playing and the problem is resolved. It was either fixed by a) SteamOS update or b) the save file sync from my Arch machine. Curious...
Okay, scrap that. It's back again in SteamOS. No idea what the matter is...
Same here with LB and RB repeating (GNU/Linux Mageia and official 360 wireless controller).
Just finished the game... and, by the way, found the solution:
You have to remap the buttons

It's that easy. It's OK to assign the same buttons as default.

This way the game no longer repeats commands. ; - )
