New parts in Alpha 2
Hey guys, Alpha 2 is coming up in just a few weeks. I was playing around with some of the new parts and thought you would want to check them out! Here you can see invisible walls, remote bomb, wrecking ball, and small & large wood planks. This isn't all the parts that are coming, just a little taste, enjoy!

I don't see the invisible walls in the video.
I see explosions though! :)

It should be really useful to have a kind of movable floor/wall in puzzles, which I guess is one thing the planks are.
I see you combine them with rope as a way of placing them and interacting with them.
Curious to see what the developers and the players will do with planks.

Looks great, I'm sure the invisible walls will be used in some strange puzzles hehehehe. Thanks for all the involvement and listening to feedback. I'll make sure to show it to my friends

The invisible walls wouldn't work too well for puzzles. It wouldn't be very logical to shoot a cannon only to have it stop dead from something you can't see. They are more so you can place scenery in the background, and then run a wall along it so it looks like your parts are interacting with the background.

I made another little video today, this one is a bit longer and more of a complete contraption.

I see the small and large wood planks mentioned earlier are textured.
Are the pink parts untextured planks of some kind or something different?
The physics engine certainly adds something that couldn't be done in TIM. :)

Right now those small and large wood planks are KevArt until an artist creates real nice artwork. When I create placeholder artwork, I'll add purple to make it obvious that it needs to be replaced. The bright purple parts are going to be dominoes.
