'Prism3d has stopped working' problem (win8.1)

I've tried to launch the game on my Dell venue 8 pro tablet with atom z3740d cpu, 2gb ram and intel HD 4000 video card. OS is Windows 8.1

Every time on launch it fails with "Prism3d has stopped working" message. I've tried different settings, even the old launcher but all useless.

Win 8.1 has a lot of issues with games, compatibiliity is generally broken.

But there is a patch for Win 8.1 which you should download and install to fix your problems, its called:
Windows 7 XD Really you dont need Win 8 it adds nothing but a crappy tabled UI and removes and brakes everything else. Win 7 will stick around as primary os for about next 5-7 years for sure.

I guess that's one of the reasons steam won't drop Windows XP support for a long time (hope so...)
Too many games run good (or only) on Windows XP.

I am using win7 as my primary OS on my gaming PC and all my games working just fine. But still Dell Venue 8 pro is a tablet with win8 preinstalled, unlikely it is possible to use win7 there. I'll try the patch. Thank you for the advice))

it is possible to use Win 7, also many people dont know that but win 7 natively supports touch screens and before ipad madness there was tablets with Win 7 preinstalled, and i would tell you sure that they are much better and comfortable to use than crappy Win 8 blocks

I ended up giving Win 8 to a friend, made my monitor look like a giant phone. Running a dual boot with XP sp3 and Win 7, all is well again.

Hmm, what about Intel & nVidia videocards support for linux OS?? I have Ubuntu13 on my Atom netbook for HalfLife1, openttd and other lowres games, but still they perfom slower than on win7/xp.

Anybody played DNMP with any win8 touch controllers (gestureworks, etc)??

I just put win 10 pro and Prism3d keeps crashing and im 2 maps away from end

i7 3770k 32GB DDR3 SLi680GTX SC all raid ssd drives ram flawlessly on 7pro should done dual boot
