No steam overlay
I noticed some sceenshots so I think I may be the only one not getting a steam overlay. How do I fix this problem?

DOSBOX isn't supporting Steam overlay.

Not true, you can get it to work with DOSBox. I used it when playing the free DOSBox version of Shadow Warrior. Though I think it only works in one render mode and maybe devs might not want to force that mode on users for some reason (such as performance).
I haven't been able to get it to work in Duke Nukem 1/2 using the same method though, maybe it has something to do with the way the games are launched.

The version + install folder of DOSBOX including in both is totally different.

Last time i played shadow warrior clssic on steam, overlay wasn't working.

I bet it got updated.
But it's also possibly because of the engine that is a bit different.

To get the overlay working in Shadow Warrior Classic I had to change a setting. It was just after it was released, so it was not changed in an update. The engine shouldn't matter as the overlay is rendered on top of the DOSBox rendered image.

Actually, it's because of an update of Steam, because before most of DOSBOX games on Steam weren't even able to have gameplay tracked and overlay.

Hence why before i wasn't able to. It's was not because of the engine or overlay. It was simply because Steam wasn't able to see that DOSBOX running, hence why it wasn't opening the overlay!
