I'd also like to know this before purchasing the package, this game looks like a great couch surfing game for me to camp out with.

The original? Sadly, no. Get a wireless keyboard! Same thing! XD

It has very limited gamepad support. If you connect the controller before the game launchers and press G then J, you can setup a couple of buttons to play the game but don't sit too far away from the keyboard.

You could optionally use a program like Joy2Key to map the other keys that the game doesn't.

Pressing a button on my XBox360 controller triggered something called Joystick Mode.

Alternatively, yes, pretty much any game has controller support with JoyToKey.

Both Duke nukem have, but personally i have had heavy problem with my xbox360 controller with them, no matter the automatic or manual calibration Duke will constantly walk right and the cursor will go insane in the menus, even with joy2key on. I hope this get patched or someone find a solution to this :C

Yeah I have the same issue^

Have been playing with the keyboard instead and still enjoying it immensely. just finished part 1 and heading up to the moon base. Such great value for such a ground breaking game at the time. Highly recommended!

First, be patient with me, I don't know any other way to say this anymore clearly. I'm American. :P

I managed to figure out how to get the controller to work. Open the game, then press ctrl + f1. DOS BOX will bring up a Keyboard, and then just click on a key and click Add. Then just put an input on your controller, and what ever that key was originally will be on your controller. Just make sure you play the game on Keyboard mod, and be sure to get the input right, cause if you try to switch the buttons to another key, it'll still use the same function as it did originally and the new one.

I was able to get to the virtual keyboard and mapped some buttons along with the joystick (I have a HRAP). However while the buttons work, the joystick will still not work even though I have the directions mapped to the arrow keys. I also tried Joy2Key although that didn't do squat. No matter what I do either the character moves constantly to the left (sometimes depending on situations facing right for split seconds) or not respond. In additon it seems that he will begin moving left constantly if I pause and then unpause (hitting exit).

With my controller charged and plugged in. Loaded up the game. A seems to work. Then the joysticks work. So all of a sudden I am playing with a controller.

Explain how I did this

Having the same walk to right issue as well. Oh well, I'll use an external program. Or maybe I can find my original Gravis that I used to play Duke with.
