why cant i play this?

when i try to launch it i get a pop up with text that says "
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Duke Nukem 1>"DOSBOX\dosbox.exe" -conf "
DN.conf" -noconsole -c exit"
and another pop up that makes my screen black like it is terying to load but it does nothing, and just to get out of the black screen i have to hit an "away" button on my keyboard. and also when i get back in i have a tab that i cannot close saying "dosbox 0.72, cpu cycles max, frameskip 0 program dosbox" what does that mean? im new to steam please help.

ps i dont know ANY of my computers specs so dont ask me what they are.
