I love simulators, being able to fly and drive all different types of vehicles from planes to trains on your computer, in complete comfort and without the need to spend absoulutely huge amounts of money to feel some sense of realism is wonderful.
However, Dovetail Games seems to have forgotten about price in the marketing mix. £25 is what a DLC might well be worth to the devs, but it damn well isn't to most of us.
I have spent amounts of money and time with this game and come to the conclusion that it is pretty well made. It is a mostly working game. You get nicely modelled trains with pretty accurate routes, each uniquely made.
I do find though, dovetail games disrespects its role for Rail Fans. Nothing comes close to the detail, but again, nothing comes close to the price.
There are quite a few glitches, bugs and general annoyances with this game which could be easily spent time on and fixed, leading to an improved game and better product instead of churning DLC out at a phenomenal rate. I personally would really like to be able to get my hands on atleast a good chunk of the British Routes as i live in the UK.
I really don't like giving what could be such a promising game for every Rail Fan in this world a negative rating but the handling of this game by those who own it damages the experience that we should be getting.
Is it not possible for Dovetail to just do something and change quite a lot of its greedy ways?
