Steam Pipeline update affecting css skins

So after the update, I haven't been able to use any world model skins or weapon skins on any of my servers except for a zombie escape server. I understand that you have to have a custom folder now and I've done all the right procedures for skin folder locations. Im also aware of servers having sv_pure 1 or something that prevents skin-usage. I just want to address that steam needs to fix the skin issues, because they're what make the game funner(not saying it isnt). I need answers! I miss my skins!

Like i said, they are :/ but the problem is most servers wont allow skins now as before and world models just dont work at all

Try checking your sking (while gaming) on Singleplayer mode. Some server can have enabled with different values the sv_pure <value> command; if enabled, custom skins of the joined users won't work.

that's lame, it kills some of the fun of cs for me. Skins added much more variety and uniqueness to the game, now most servers dont even allow it :3

Because they want a normal gameplaying, not a motivators ponies or something else (skins), but I agree that the servers should accept the custom skins.

How is it not normal to have a skin? Only you can see it

This has been the norm for as long as I can remember.
With sv_pure 0 yeah you can use a gun skin, but the player next to you might be using full bright yellow/red/blue/green skins that he can see from almost any where. That is the issue.
Sry you cant have your cool gun skin, not sry some random kid keeps seeing me from spawn like he's a hawk.
Do you see?

I understand what you mean and it's come across my mind before, but the only skins i use are remodled guns. F.E. m4 skin is an ak or something. Any other skins should be banned, like the bright gun skins
