1.6 or CSS
I can't get a high enough framerate in cs:go so i've decided to get one of the older counter strikes.Although I don't know which to get. I've heard source has almost no recoil but i've also heard the only people playing 1.6 are the pro's. Anyone want to explain which would be more ideal for me to get?

Depends, if you are a casual player, than get Source, if not, then get 1.6....

Both, but if you have a good PC & graphic (or the minimal required setting), I recommend you to buy/play 'CS:S'. 'CS 1.6' Steam or No-Steam, hasn't any difference, just an additional avatars on the scoreboard, while the original 'CS:S' version (Steam) has a lot of differences than No-Steam version.

Source.

It has bot support so even if you're offline you can still enjoy the game with the bots, and they put up quite a challenge, at least for me anyway.

I like more source because CSS have deathrun with bhop and minigames! But cs 1.6 is good game too.
