When I first picked up Hate Plus I had no idea what I was getting into. While you spend a lot of time reading, the stories are very well written. Your robotic AI has a lot to say and her emotions are clearly portrayed on the anime artwork present. You get choices at various points in the story which affect the mood of your AI buddy.
You can unlock new bits of text at regular periods before you have to take a break and read again. This keeps you coming back for more and overall it does a great job at establishing the universe. Personally I've enjoyed this and this is well worth picking up if you like reading blogs and trying to understand the emotions of others.
