minebombthingie too cheap?
I feel that, for the devastation it does - the bomb you can drop, is way too cheap - also, it is REALLY hard to spot, so you can basicly blast away ALL the new players with it to win..

idno - it just feels a tad too discrete, and too cheap

It is super powerful, but it also drains your power so every time you miss costs you dearly.

it doesnt cost me dearly, if i have 200 power, they have say 50 - then it is pretty much game over for them. I feel that 40 power, for the power that it provides, is too little

yes it's too hard to spot, I can safely say I never seen it being dropped by my opponent.

I have seen it, I may also add to this, that the fuse time is too short - especially if you want it to be this discreet.

Well, just in my opinion. I'm fine with it being powerful - that's AWESOME, but everything else is kinnda off, making it op - if you have the advantage, you may aswell just spam out bombs.

I could see with the fuse time being extended a bit.
It would prevent the issue that if someone is jumping in your direction you can just drop a bomb and it's almost an guaranteed kill.

Start paying more attention... I rarely get hit by bombs because I'm looking for them. They shouldn't have to nerf the game so people who are barely paying attention or understand the mechanics can have an easier time. Those people just need to practice.

I'm always happy to tweak the game to suit the community, if people think bombs are overpowered. I've recently made them more expensive, and reduced the frequency you can drop them. Will look into that further.

Bombs being hard to spot is one of my favourite things about them. If you're *clever* about where you lay them, you can get away with some brilliantly funny frags. If you drop them somewhere obvious (while falling, for example), you'll never get away with it.

bomb deaths are one of my favourite things about Gun Monkeys. They're fun and funny and should be mildly frustrating in a "you've got to laugh" sort of way. From the feedback I've been getting, it seems they've struck that balance nicely, but I'll take your comments on board and adjust the game accordingly if it's the prevailing opinion.

Best,

d

ah, but as i said - they are hilarious, as you say,and funny - i wouldnt want them less poweful - just everything surrounding them ^^ Glad to see them more expensive, however - my main gripe would probably be fuse time

Fuse time was something that was reduced significantly during the beta, as people felt it needed that near-instant BAM in order to be a reliable weapon. Any shorter and it's pretty difficult to get out of the way yourself! Would you like it shorter?
[Q]uik Jul 8, 2013 @ 6:13am
no, i would like it longer xD since it's near invisible and has that incredible explotion, so - noobs get hammered by it, and even I, after playing for quite a while, still get hammered by it, because I can't see it.

Well, I realize others will have different opinions, but that's how I feel
