Vote : The item that screwed you over most
Voting time !
So, wich item screwed you over most of the time or do you like the least?
These can be items you always or usually pickup when available and then come back to bite you in the A** or items you picked up once to then never make that mistake again.
Here are the candidates:
Climbing gloves - 18
Teleporter - 7
Anubis' Scepter - 2
Plasma Cannon - 4
Shield - 1
Throwables (rock, arrow etc.) - 2
Web gun - 1
CryssKnife - 1
Parachute - 2
Mattock - 1
Vlad's Cape - 1
Pitcher's Mitt - 1

Feel free to add why you picked that particular item, spread the misery !
I'll update as much as possible and thanks for voting.
I'll also add items if for some reason your hated item isn't on here.

An item I've picked up and I'll never use again is the web gun. I really don't see the use for it.

Climbing gloves.

Never...ever...take them to the worm level.

Climbing Gloves would be the one for me. The sheer annoyance it causes is just far too much to justify the couple of times it´s actually useful in a run.

I've been hit by my own scepter in the temple and still gone on to beat hell in the same run, It does 10 damage(I think).

Gloves *have* screwed me before, but only very rarely and I love them too much as an item to ever pass up.

I'd add hired help to the list because they can't be trusted not to screw you over. Back in the early days on 360 they'd steal from shopkeeps LOL

Considered the same thing, but isn't it a bit wrong to call a person an "item" :-)

climbing gloves and the knockback of the plasma cannon.

and everyone should say the scepter, at least people doing hell runs WILL NEVER use the scepter, (except on shopkeepers if you kill them), it almost ALWAYS will kill you.

I've had some good things happen when using the scepter, I only use it when I'm in a corner of the map though.

It's not that bad. Just pay attention to your surroundings. For example if there is a live enemy above you and one below you it follows that it might hit you on it's way from one to the other.

Consider also that it will attack dead-bodies if no live enemies are around and stay out of the path of fire if there is a corpse diagonal or perpendicular to you.

I think it always shoots out the front of the scepter before re-adjusting it's aim, so if there's an enemy directly behind you it will go through you to get him.

I'm not sure about this, but it may target the player if there is absolutely no live enemies and no corpses left on the level.

Well I really hate the climbing gloves and I avoid them like the plague, but what ♥♥♥♥es me off even more is when I throw an arrow up and it lands on my head, making me lose 2 hearts. Or that bug when I throw something and it knocks me out without even leaving my hands.

The Whip/Machete/Wormtooth. I never get the hitboxes right, and constantly end up taking bad damage from flying enemies. It seems a bit off-sync with the animations, and it's a bad idea to rely on it too much.

Other than that, I also have a bad experience with every gun-weapon, due to the knockback caused.

If only one vote is accepted, I pick the melee one. <:

Not really, I'll add cryssknife (as you can't really get around using the whip) and +1 for plasma
