I just checked and it uses the standard xinput1_3.dll (some games need the others), just place the files in the same directory as the exe (I guess you know this already. Also, make sure the compatibility hook is set to normal.
Let me know how it goes, also, if you can, post what version of x360ce are you using.

No guide mate, I just copy and paste the x360ce file from my hitman folder into each game I want to play.
After you watch the guide, make sure you double check the compatiblity hook is set to normal, you acess the options in x360ce.exe. After that the only different thing has to be the version.
Get the one directly from x360ce to ensure the best compatibility.
All of a sudden it started to work.. I did nothing different.
