Maybe it's just me, but hitboxes in this game --- especially for bats and skeletons --- seem to be really unpredictable. Sometimes you can be half a block away from a skeleton or bat and just randomly take damage, but at other times it seems like you can almost just clip through them with nothing happening to neither you or the enemy...

It may not have a huge impact on normal game play, but I find that it makes speedrunning a downright pain in the♥♥♥♥♥ Most of the time it'll be a messed up hitbox that ends a run rather than something that's actually difficult.

that's one of the reasons i like that the freeware version is pixel art, you can see exactly which pixel touched another for there to be a collision

You'll get use to it. At first bats use to hit me about 90% of the time, but now it only happens if i'm being an idiot. After spending around 100 hours in the game i can safely say that i have no problem with the hitboxes

I've got +150 hours in the game, and they're actually starting to annoy me more. In the beginning I attributed it to me just being bad and still getting used to the game, but that's not the case anymore --- I'm very much used to the game and I've developed a reasonably good sense for when something should and should not hit me. And bats and skeletons are always the ones that leave me thinking, "wtf?! How did that hit me?"

Ha I was actually just playing and quit to come here and say the same thing. Love the game, but the hitboxes are so annoying.
