My Logitech isn't working in game, it's being recognized in windows, and works in other games, even other steam games (works in Tale of two sons)

Try x360ce. Its an xbox controller emulator.
Its easy to use and works great.
Fro me it works with Acme controller and it works with other games.

I'll assume it's an older Logitech controller that isn't Xinput compatible. If that's the case, try x360ce like Slood recommended.

If you're using a newer Logitech controller, there's a switch on the back that changes between D and X, and that's for switching between DirectInput and Xinput. If your controller is new enough to have this switch, change it to X and it should work automatically with Spelunky.

I have the switch on the back, when I put it to X, my gamepad shuts off, its a logitech f310. My buddy has the same one and is able to use it with Spelunky just fine o.O

You might have to unplug it and plug it back in after switching it to Xinput. I'd also highly recommend that you look for drivers or software on Logitech's website and download them if you need to. I've used an F310 set to Xinput mode with Spelunky before, so it definitely should work, unless there's something wrong with the controller itself.

You can use the program "joytokey" when the controller dont work in some games.

You don't need to unplug it and plug it back in to use xinput.
But you do need to switch to xinput before you run the game.

Also have you got the latest drivers?

One more vote for x360ce; I've been using that with my Logitech controller and it works perfectly fine.

Thanks for the help guys.
I've tried new drivers, different USB ports, switches, buttons, I even sacrificed a chicken to Baal.
Going to try x360ce now wish me luck!
