More "reach area" achievements to help new players in setting goals for their runs, e.g. The Haunted Castle, The Black Market, The Worm, and The Mothership.

Yes. Not only restricted to guns tho (Shotgun firing a barrage of random spread Plasma bullets).
It should work with mummies, arrow traps, Cobraspit, ufo rays too! Imagine that.

whats the point? The game is already random and varied in perspective enough.

Make 5 types of character (like styles/classes) out of the 20. Each type has 4 characters (for coop). Each type handles (or stats/equips) differently but still balanced in strengths and weaknesses. More variation in game, more characters to master, more thing to do in game.

But what if I like the way a character looks, but I hate his strenghts and weaknesses?

I would like to see a hardMode. on hell-3 is a portal in a wall like the black market, but you use the necrinomicon, and you have to have beaten yama before on the savegame. the portal puts you at mines 1-5 and goes till mines 1-8, same idea for the other floors. the depth for new floors after beating a level will show as 1-[negative number]. enemies have 4 times the health and double dmg. shopkeepers are automatically angry, and damsel will try to hurt you, to save her you hit her like a caveman. ghost melts tiles as it passes, and it heals enemies it goes through.

items found in hardmode do more dmg and are better. hardmode kapala adds blood just for landing hits, blood counts for double. olmec is double in size with spikes all over (can't touch him). yama has more hands, more minions, 4 times the health, and every 5 mins yama summons a hardmode ghost(if he's alive). yama's throne has diamonds. beating Hard-yama lets you live forever (imortal) as a death date.

there should be 1 character for this mode as a sort of trophy, found inside yama's throne.

Keep in mind you SHOULD have the BEST equipment for this mode if you get to it: jetpack, kapala, shotgun, many bombs, ect.

Ledge grabbing is currently automatic. i'd like to see an option to set it manually to left trigger, much like running is currently set.
