Let's get thigns straight: this is a Horror game, not a Terror game. ATDD is a Terror game, a game that exists to scare you out of your wits. This game is nothing like ATDD in terms of terror, but this game can immerse you and envelop you and disturb you in ways equally terrifying. This game was my single most favourite experience of 2013. Even though it lasted just under 3 hours, I have since played it twice over. Everything about this game is incredibly intricately designed. The atmosphere intoxicating; and the music, oh the music that gets inside your head and controls your thoughts.
Do not buy this game to be scared and have a bit of a laugh like ATDD, buy this game to play in a dark room, undisturbed with headphones on and the volume cranked to obscene levels. Read each note carefully, and build your own picture on the events of the game's story. Connect with Mandus, and experience his journey through his own creation in (I would say) the best psycological horror game to date.
This game is not a game, as such; it is an experience, to be experienced, not so much played. It may as well be a book or a film, but there is not as much personal connection with the character in those mediums. I wholly recommend this game to anyone who is serious about their horror stories, and really everyone old enough to play it. You cannot miss this. Although I do recommend waiting for a sale as it is a tad expensive. Or steal it off a mate, if you liked it, great! if not, so what? you didn't lose out reall, except for a few hours, maybe. So go one, give it a try, and you might even become a pig yourself!
