So yeah i dident lost it but it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up when i click continue game it just luods me back at random saved piont. I thinkthis is a problem with steam cluod, so FIX YOUR ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Open up the Load Game option. I'm not sure what happened, but I was always using Continue when I'd fire up the game but one day it started me at the beginning of the game when I did this. Your saves are still around, you just need to open up the Load Game option and select it from that list. You can find your most recent game listed by its date, though they aren't listed by order of date. The dates are in the format of D-M-YYYY. Just find the most recent one and double-click it.

Yeah, same here. I tried using Continue again after the first time it messed up but it would always load me into a different save. I didn't play around with it much after that but it seemed once the Continue option stopped working properly I always had to use Load Game after that. I guess maybe you could try manually removing all your saves from the saved games folder (c:\Users\{user}\Documents\Amnesia\Pig\{user}) except your most recent one and try to move along from there, but no guarantees that'd work once more saved games started piling up.

There is an official but non-live patch over on the Frictional games forums but the changelog doesn't address this issue with saves. I'm not sure what's going on over at Frictional, but this patch has been promised to be delivered for a while now through Steam but so far nothing. There was an update yesterday or the day before but it was only to bundle a VC++ redist that was required to properly run the game, but nothing else was updated.

Anyway, you can try that patch to see if it helps you with the saves but I doubt it will. Oh, and a side-effect of it is that all the pig masks end up appearing in weird locations. Not that it really matters, but when you see one hovering in the middle of a room it sort of breaks immersion.

To avoid future issues, go to the link below and do what it says to do to enable quicksaves and quickloads. Save whenever you want. I haven't tested it myself though, but it should work.
