My game crash help meee!

My game crash after i play the first part, i mean just before i went out of the wall with the screct room opened by the gun in the wall. The place where we can see the house through the paintings. The game just stops when i open the door, PLEASE HELP

I do not fully remember the events of that portion of the game. there is a possibility that the graphics are set to high and somthing big happens during that part. i would try to lower the graphics first and if that doesnt work a reinstall is usually the answer.
