I do believe....
that this game has something against pigs. It's just a theory, but I'm seeing much pig related imagery all around. I must investigate further.

I came to the conclusion that the pigs were a metaphor for undesirable people, from a misanthropic viewpoint, and "The machine" was a metaphor for satan. I'd like to know what was in that stasis-like looking chamber later in the game. I tried Googling it after I played it at launch but couldn't find anything. Haven't bothered to look since.
