Hammerwatch, an RPG belonging to the hack and slash adventure type of game - with an air of "Gauntlet" - that lets you to play as different characters with different abilities each.
Graphic-wise speaking it is an appealing game. Even though Hammerwatch has a pixelated layout and graphics, the actions and everything going on within the map are clear to see and very well animated, also it is worth mentioning that those details combined with the art and design of everything there might appear visceral to the player as well as it is inviting.
The game can be played Solo, but you can also do Co-op thanks to the lobby system. In between Solo and Co-Op modes I'd choose the Co-op, as the game experience is enhanced; for example, occasionally you'll need a tank, or maybe heal, and having more people in-game with you will help you fulfill those needs in a more effective way than you would normally do in Solo mode.
Along the way you'll find hidden traps, puzzles, secrets, as well as hordes of enemies and difficult Boss Fights (more reasons to prefer Co-Op).
Hammerwatch does fulfill the expectations of a dungeon-based hack and slash game. But as I said it's better with friends (or random people)
SO GO GET YOUR FRIENDS A COPY OF THE GAME AND PLAY!
7/10 Good game, great fun with friends. I would recommend it.
