Jorji Costava:funniest game character ever???
SPOILERS AHEAD
Who doesn't love a visit from Jorji Costava? This drug-smuggling, wanted criminal from Obristan was one of my favourite parts of this game. Here are some famous quotes:

INSPECTOR: Your weight does not match this description.
JORJI: Is real mystery for sure.

I:Your entry permit is missing
J: Oh man you funny guy!

I: Face the scanner
J: Uh oh, maybe you not like this!
I: What is this?
J: Is drugs!

I: Face the scanner
J:Maybe things get too sexy in here.

J: For sure I am not in criminal bulletin or anything!
I: Your face is in wanted bulletin.
J: What! I pay police like crazy! They promise no bulletin. All clear they say.

He's definitely my favourite NPCs of all time. Thoughts?

He is an awesome NPC, but there are better ones. Claptrap from Borderlands for example.

I'd have to agree about the "best NPC evar" bit. It's not just his humor and charm that makes him so memorable but also his narrative arc through the story.

At first I expected him to be exactly like that Tom Hanks character in The Terminal (Viktor Navroski) because he just couldn't get his entry papers together. It reminded me of the scene where Hanks tells the inspector, "You have two stamps; one red and one green, so my chances are ... erhm ... fifty-fifty."

But then he evolved into a criminal ... engaged in "victimless crimes" such as medicine (or possibly narcotics) smuggling. When I realized that his business in Arstotzka was drugs this whole time, and that he was so cavalier about it, I saw the "boundaries" motif written into his storyline. He crosses physical, legal, and moral checkpoints over the course of the game and each set of lines draws its own "map." He also drags you along even if it's against your will, adding a sense of exploration to a game that takes place all in just a confined inspection booth.

His brazen defiance against authority also stands out in the dull grey background populated by thousands of unremarkable faces, a bold risk to take in the political climate, but he won't give up his humanity even for personal safety.

Contrary to popular belief, this game has lots of emotion to it. Despite being an iron fist inspector, I couldn't bring myself to Detain Jorji Costava. I don't know what actually happens when you Detain people, but I wouldn't wish for him to get hurt.

The game doesn't throw his story onto your face, but you can make up a bit of it kinda. It's very well put together.

I was so happy for the little fella when he finally got his papers in order and then he turned around and broke my heart. He understood, though. He always understood.

As the game goes on (for me at least) it gets harder and harder to feel bad for Jorji. He starts out as just a guy who wants to get into the country and just dosen't know the rules, and is really cool about being denied entry. But then he evolves to be a wanted drug dealer who bribes police officers. One wonders how Jorji turned out to be such a shady dude. ):

Jorji is great. I actually feel bad about denying and detaining him.

Let's assumed they're questioned, tortured, then enslaved. Of course, none of that will happen to Jorji because he's got more than a few cops on the take.

Jorji is my friend. ♥

SPOILERS! Ahead, Don't read below if you do not want to read any spoilers.

No biggie, Jorji is boss from Orbistan.

If you detain him, which wont have you penalized for letting him in, he pretty much says "meh, no big deal, ill be back".

In a few days time, he is back, unharmed, and even happy to see you.

He even ends up giving you his pass port, and you now have the option C victory which is to leave to Orbistan with your family.

He even comes back a few days later thanking you, telling you he is getting out while ahead after a big score, and then gives you 40 dollars.

Yup he is a pimp, and probably my favorite part of this game.

I am always excited when Jorji Costava shows up to my booth!
