Stealing it and declaring that "it seems to be the only possible way" on a public forum is hardly going to make activision make a deal to sell the games on steam. But it could get you in trouble with the admins. Just a thought.

Originally posted by Kodai:What.....?Until the admins/mods cleared this thread from the pirating comments, you seemed to be backing the idea of stealing the games, and now you are saying that buying a used copy will prevent the devs from getting any money. I really dont know what world you are living in, but I'm out of here. You know you can legaly buy the games used. Until Activision decides to sell them again, there is no other legal option. Problem solved, case closed, and this thread should be as well.

The thing is that those systems are 'dead' - the PC isn't. No. Nobody called you a pirate. I simply pointed out that the previous post you had made (which has now been deleted by a steam mod/admin), could be seen as encouraging piracy since you had claimed you were going to just download an unauthorized copy. On top of that another post (which has also been deleted by a steam mod/admin) agreed that it was the correct course of action since the game could no longer be bought new. You know perfectly well what you said and you are relying on the fact that the mods and admins deleted the posts but didn't close the thread to confuse others who might come in and see this. I think it was a mistake to not close this thread, but I have no authority to fix that. However, those in power have left it open for us to discuss this issue and I guess we can.Just because the posts are now deleted does not absolve you of decalring that you were going to go get an ileagal rom image and play that instead. As I have pointed out, you can buy a used copy for just a couple of bucks, but that seems to offend your sensibilities. As you put it "If you buy the used new, the developers aren't getting any money", but for some reason going out and grabbing a rom from some random warz site helps the dev out. That logic just doesn't work. Simply put, you did infact openly state your intention to download roms of said games becuase they are nologer for sale. When the admins / mods deleted the posts (but did not close the thread), and another user (myself), pointed out that you could just buy a used copy of the games instead of pirating them, you tried to confuse the situation and draw attention from yourself. The devlopers getting paid for their work has nothing to do with your stated desire to pirate the game. Your implication that I am calling you a pirate for no reason is as phony as a rubber check. You know exactly what you wrote and you got caught. instead of owning up to it, you are trying to come off as some sort of victim.
Originally posted by Kodai:Just a quick heads up, the posts are still there. I was a mod over at Gamespot and I can tell you that EVERY single thing you submit is still there, including every edit and delete you make. All the admins / mods did, were to hide them from public view. If they decide that this thread, you, and I are in the wrong, then they have the whole thead to look over for future reference. Just so you know, they can and will use it if the thread is reported to them or they wander in and see it on their own. I will not be reporting it as that would be considerd a type of threat or bullying and thats against the Steam TOS. However if some random reader decides to turn this thread in after this post, then I would assume it would be locked and you as well as I could be banned from the forum for this discussion. Mainly because you seem to be viewing the gracious attiude afforded by the admin / mods as giving you carte blanche to twist the facts of your wrong doing. Ad stop to think about it for a minute, because if you had not been in the wrong, then why did they delete your posts? Food for thought.
Originally posted by Kodai:First off, you did suggest you were going to pirate the game by downloading a rom of it.
Originally posted by Kodai:That comment is now gone because a mod/admin removed it.
Originally posted by Kodai:Thrid and last, its not rude. You did it, and I called you on it. The mods/admins noticed it hid the posts. You are only taking advantage of the fact that the posts are now hidden from public view, for the sole purpose of trying not to look bad in front of everybody. Had you just left well enough alone, I never would have pointed these things out. Instead, you just had to start defending yourself after everything was done by directly quoting me after the fact.
Originally posted by joppe38 poissaolokohtaus:Never said that.I checked, no comment of mine was deleted. I am pretty sure you ARE mixing someone with me.There really is no reason for me to defend myself since I haven't said that I am going to download games illegally. Secondly, not everyone is going to be looking at this forum. The reason I am commenting back is that I want YOU (yes, you) to stop blaming others for something they haven't done. Because you are doing it to me, you are probably doing it to others. Stop it.
Originally posted by Kodai:As I said before, the commet was there and it is now hidden. You know it, and I know it. :devilskiss:
