Minotaur Madness
I am learning this game, very new to it. I am playing the Tutorial and have lived to the Age Of Monsters. The Vikings are kicking the living crap out of the Greeks. The tutorial text suggets that I try using mythical creatures to even out the forces. I've been very reluctant to do that, but for the sake of seeing what happens in the game, I brought forth into existance a single minotaur. This guy did pretty well for himself, and things looked like they were manageable.

However, the game keeps dropping new minotaurs onto the field. Some are Greek, some are Viking. Viking minotaurs, fan-freaking-fabulous-tastic. There's five minotaurs now running around, and they are cleaning up everything. It's hard to build faster than they can destroy.

The plan called for one minotaur. The game keeps dropping them from the sky like some deranged commercial for Skittles. Skittles: Minotaur The Rainbow.

What happened? Did I do something wrong? Did I miss an explaination? Does 1 = 5 in this world? How can I stop receiving minotaurs?

Thanks for your kind help in advance.

Hey Twelvefield,
First of all thanks for the post, I found it hilarious the way you described the situation. As for the problem, I'm thinking you used the wrong spell, there are 2 in this game that make Minotaurs. The one that summons a single minotaur, and then there is another one that will summon one for each faction in a random spot each turn for like 5 turns.
Are you able to check which one you clicked on?

You used the spell labyrinth.

There we go. That's the problem. I used both. I reasoned that I could afford both a Minotaur and a Labyrinth, so why not buy both? They go together like minotaurs in labyrinths. Should have read the small print: I cannot afford them both at all.

Heh, thanks for telling about it. I figured it being a building too. (Played only 3 hours of the demo so far but gonna start a new game soon.)

Labyrinths are way more swingy. (More fun that way, also higher score if you play on higher difficulties, where you need score).
