A Feature I'd Like To See [FEEDBACK]
Hi guys, I've been thinking and have realised something I'd really like in the game - a final stats and scoresheet once you've won (or lost).

It could incorporate total units and buildings created and lost, total points scored by each faction (who did most of the work), how many bandits killed and so on. There's loads of things you could put in! Maybe even a timeline of when new towns were created and destroyed by each faction. It just feels fairly anticlimatic to me to win a game and just have a little message to look around, then exit. Maybe show a favourite unit - ie which unit was created most by each team.

I'm a maths-y guy, I want to see numbers and revel in the destruction I caused on the battlefield! I, and others I'm sure would really appreciate this feature, and I think it may be worth Arcen's consideration. What do you all think?

I would really like to be able to play this game in the 'traditional' sense, that is- I play red, AI plays blue. I know that goes against a lot of the game's style, but sometimes I just want to destroy the other colour, y'know?

Alderon,

For me - no thank you. For just knocking out the other team, there are far superior RTS games. This game sells on the fact that it is different. As a stereotypical RTS, it would be far too simple. There are games like Civilisation V which contain many more features, like religion and science and technology and so forth. This game wouldn't stand up to it. And if you kept the free will feature of SC, you'd spend forever cursing your troops for going the wrong way. Player VS AI just wouldn't suit this game, for me.

Isn't this already in the game?

No; a single-turn analysis is available, what I'm looking for is all that combined into one for the whole game.Plus some stats that aren't currently available.

Oh, okay, well if they can track the individual turns, I'd assume an endgame summation would be a simple addition. Neat idea.

Personally I would like to see a few more game modes, but NOT a traditional TBS style(red v blue). Something more along the lines of

Bandit Swarm: 'Red and Blue start separated by a big divide, Bandits keep spawning more rapidly and stronger.

Myths and legends: mythological units are cheaper, normal units are more expensive. Buildings are buffed to balance.

Collapse: The world is constantly falling away instead of spawning. You have 2-3x the action points but are going to have to use them to keep the land together.

Those soerts of things.

A few more game modes may indeed bring some varied gameplay. I especially like your Myths and Legends, and Collapse ideas (though the world would have to begin significantly larger to accomodate the constant loss).

The Bandit Swarm idea needs some work, I think. Perhaps the score for defeatiing bandits would be buffed, the score for fighting each other nerfed, to make the gameplay more focused on fighting the bandits. The bandit AI could be imporved, perhaps they could have small towns instead of standalone buildings, and some more unique units. Hey, a little imagination could make it happen!
