Mythological Token Score
Most of the time, the Greeks have a negative score for 'mythological token use'. What causes this? How do I prevent it? It can be a substantial hindrance to my overall score.

Mostly, it depends on how hard the effects of the token are to balance. If the token's effects tend to balance out things, then they have a low or negative score, if they tend to imbalance the field, then they have a higher score.

So it's a case-by-case basis. Greeks keep getting a really huge negative score for it, even though they're generally winning.

It is case by case, yes. But, keep in mind, the score isn't for the greeks, it's your score. And, also, the greeks winning is actually a bad thing. The goal is to keep either side from winning.

Yeah. It's really hard to keep the Greeks from stomping the Norse. So I figured using a Greek token while they're strong should have increased the point. I was referring to the tooltip that pops up. "Blue score for mythological token use: -420" That part.

If your Greeks are stomping your Norse, build lots of Norse warriors. The Norse have stronger combat units, but the Greeks excel in Siege. I normally dedicate a town to the building of Norse Marauders when this happens. You can fit over 15 barracks in a town if you;re building only one type of unit (this includes School 1, 2, and Uni).

The Greeks were stomping the Norse in my game, too. For two ages, them "boy lovers" (to quote 300) were taking out Norse units and even Mythologicals. Their first city was quite wrecked as we approached the Age of Gods, while the Greeks were unscathed.
Things started turning for the better for the Norse once I got them that Cauldron. For every Norseman dead, at least one would randomly respawn somewhere. Sometimes I saw two.
And in this game, that "somewhere" was behind the Greek cities.
In one instance, a Norse Minotaur (I'd spawned the labyrinth during the Greek's turn to help turn the tide. Bad move) spawned right behind the Greeks' production city. In two turns, my special items crafting was halved, or down to a third.
Also, learn to use the abilities of the Norse gods. I used Heimdall's horn to wipe the slate clean and Odin killed Pan :D
The Greeks lived because it was already turn 90, but if it had gone on, the Greeks would probably have lost.
