Lite Version coming back by anychance? Pricing Question
Hello, i have been following the development of this piece of software for a long time, it is really coming along and would like to add it to my development process for work.

Back with Substance Designer 2, there was a Lite version, which had less features and was alot cheaper, very appealing to me as i didn't need all the features that the full version had. I'm just wondering if there will be a Lite version of SD3 anytime soon or possibly for SD4? (if its planned).

Also, i was looking at the prices on your website (thats in $) and compared them to the Steam prices (thats in £), it seems you would be paying about 20-25% more to buy the software on Steam in the UK, was the prices done by you?

Hello! We don't intend to have a lite version of Substance Designer at this point, but we do now have a non commercial license for 99$ and we do discounts on the commercial license once in a while. Stay tuned! Regarding the UK price, it's Steam who is deciding the conversion to other currency than USD. Sorry about that.

@GeneralJ927 There was a 50% off on the summer of this year. Keep an eye out for the winter.

Thank you for the replies, i'll be watching out for the discounts.

The commercial upgrade is now at 50% discount for a week.
This would put the full commercial version (NCU+Upgrade) at around $390 instead of $590.

Thats a quick discount, i'll hopefully be getting this while its on discount, unless something else comes up.

Can i also ask, if i buy it off Steam, is there anyway i can also use the standalone from your site? (sometimes i don't always want to be stuck with steam)

By the way, on the Steam store page, its the full commercial version thats at 50% off, the commercial upgrade is still at normal price, just don't go changing anything from me saying this as its saving about an extra £40 with the full commercial (helps since the Steam prices are a bit off). :D

Dear all,

The -50% discount on Substance Designer 3 was actually a mistake. Sorry about that, it has just been fixed and stay tuned, there is going to be new discounts soon!

Thanks Allegorithmic, i seen it last night, quite a quick discount shortly after asking. :) Are you not putting the NC version on discount? would help in getting potential customers, who have been looking at it for maybe Steam workshop use.

Also can you answer my question from the previous post which was this:

'if i buy it off Steam, is there anyway i can also use the standalone from your site? (sometimes i don't always want to be stuck with steam)'
