Will the Steam version get the same updates as the non-commercial version?

Hi guys,

I was looking at getting this and was wondering if the Steam version will get the same upgrades as the non-commercial version. I know you guys have Modo support in the works and I'd like to have that but I am unclear on whether the Modo support will come to the Steam version also or just the versions from Allegorithmics site.
