Personally, I really like this game. It's fun, fast-paced, and has a good unlock system to keep you interested. Like House of Dead Ninjas (also by Adult Swim), it rewards you even when you play somewhat poorly, so that you still have a sense of 'growth' despite messing up.

I give it 8/10. 2 marks off because it is maybe too simplistic, and may therefore lack staying power. If that sounds harsh, that's because it is. ;) But rating a game like this out of ten is tricky.

It must be tough not being able buy games without seeing a number score by reviewers that are probably too jaded and passionate to give an accurate review.
You should already pretty much know if you're going to get it not. Reviews should be taken with a grain of salt, not be the deciding factor.

Metacritic AND youtube is full of garbage. You should never ever buy a game based off of the metacritic score, and you should always make sure the person making the reviews on youtube is trustworthy. For example, Total Biscut is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible, almost every time he does a "first impression" for an indie game, he gets like 50% of the ♥♥♥♥ he says wrong, and then people go ahead and act like it was a well thought out and accurate review.

Reviews are helpful, but in my opinion a demo / watching a sample of gameplay goes further. A hugely loved game like say... Half Life 2 may get 96/100 on MetaCritic but not everyone will enjoy it.

Northernlion just introduced me to it and is why I own it now. I played the free version on a website and was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ surprised how addicting it was that I just had to buy it.

I don't even know how to rate this game becase I can't think of any negatives, but I don't believe any game deserves a perfect score, so I'd give it at 9.5/10

8/10, as it erfectly mixes genres and nothing seems out of place. Could give it 10, but
1) no tutorial
2) very short (2 hours, and i killed boss)
