Limit to game's FPS?

Heyo, so I've got an odd problem here I was hoping someone could help solve. This is the only game in my Steam library that does this: When playing the game my graphics card makes a high pitched whining noise. I've done some fiddling, Googling and deduced that it's actually the card rendering more frames than it physically should. By this I mean the FPS count is going nuts and the electrical hardware is operating at a frequency it shouldn't.

I had this same problem in Lego Marvel Super Heroes just recently but fixed it by turning all the settings to Max and enabling V-Sync haha :P. Like I said, odd problem. I was wondering if there was any way to cap the FPS on this game, perhaps through the Steam console or something?

Just for reference I'm sporting a GTX 670 and 2nd gen i5 CPU. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Same problem here.

I'm with a i5 2500k as CPU and GTX 560 Ti as GPU, and I've got this problem since months.
Today I try some FPS limiter (NVidia Inspector,, MSI Afterburner, Dxtory...), and nothing work.

Also, I don't know how to enable v-sync in Super Puzzle Platformer (does it really need? :D).

Ok, I've make a new try with Nvidia Inspector, and I finally understand how t really work (and it works \o/).

So, download it (Google is your friend, not really hard to find), then extract it and launch it.
1. Go to Driver Profile Setting (right-click on the application or the little icon on the Driver Version line).
2. Create a new profile (name it as you want, like Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe).
3. Add a new application to curent profile, then search superpuzzleplatformer.exe on the Steam folder
4. Set frame rate limiter as low you want (and as high your monitor can display of course).
5. Apply change!

Then it should be ok.
Not the perfect solution (the game doesn't work with Fraps anymore), but the computer should cease to think he's a radiator ;)
