Full Workshop Support?

There is not really full Workshop support in Contagion. Sure, the game downloads items from the Workshop, but you cannot select and deselect items you downloaded in the game menu. I know you can go to extras section in the game menu, and then select addons, where it immeiately closes the game. When will there be full Workshop support? I do not consider what we have right now as full Workshop support. When will this be fixed? This issue has been there ever since the game has had Workshop support and has not been fixed since.
