My experience with Legend of Dungeon
Hello there, I've been playing with Legend of Dungeon for a few hours now, and I personally have good and bad experiences with the game, keep in mind that this are my personal experiences, so please don't let this affect your own view of the game.

-The Good
To begin with, the game's visuals are marvelous, simply beautiful. Each and every monster is well designed and unique, but personally, the dynamic lighting is by far, the best visual system in the game. Another great note is the originality on the items, each time I play, I encounter new items, potions, hats, and weapons, all with unique graphics, and effects. Sometimes, finding an item even forced me to change my playing tactic, from a close combat fellow, to a long raged summoner, leaving my summons to do the killing for me. I also really enjoyed the Dungeon's generation system, I never played anything so dense in possibilities, and now that the game has daily dungeons, seeded dungeons, and an impossible mode, the game comes with so many choices for hours and hours of game play.

-The Bad
The Dungeon always looks the same. Now this doesn't mean that each floor and room is the same, but the only differences in floors and rooms are the sizes, and the lighting of the floor or room. Some rooms are darker than others, or some rooms may have a pool of lava, but other than these small factors, each floor and room looks the same. Another huge problem for me, is the HUD, it is kinda confusing, specially if you've never played the game before, but the HUD could use a new looks, something simpler and easier to understand, this also applies to the items, there are many items and potions, and some have effects, and some don't, but if you're new, you have no clue what each effect does, you can't tell if the effect is good, or bad, this can obviously lead to confusion, and personally, it lead to my death. Another problem I found, is that when you start the game, you see many colorful characters in the Tavern, but your character is just too generic, and the only thing you can change about him/her is the hair and skin color, I know it's a rogue-like game, but if you are going to add customization into your game, at least add more options. Many other Rouge-like games have multiple characters, Risk of Rain, Spelunky, and The Binding of Issac knew about this, so instead of adding customization, they added preset characters for the player(s) to choose to their liking. In Legend of Dungeon, you have NO choice on what your character will look like, this isn't a huge problem, but well, again, if you will add this neat feature, at least let us players have some more control over it, players love control. Another small problem is that there are not enough items on each floor or room. I usually find 1 weapon every 10 levels, and that is IF I reach that far, some other times I get lucky and find a weapon, but I usually find hats, which are good, but most of the time it gets repetitive and I sometimes don't even bother picking them up. And one huge problem I had with the game is that sometimes, there is only one way into the next level, but, there are times in which an over powered monster blocks it, forcing me to either farm for experience, or just try my luck and see if I can trick said monster to get away from the door, but most of the time, I die with little to not luck, I know it doesn't sound like much, but this happens a lot to me, not sure if it happens to a lot of other people, but yeah it can get annoying sometimes.

In conclusion, Legend of Dungeon is great game, with amazing features, some which are better than others, but it does have it's flaws, leaving the player with little, to no knowledge of some of this features (Not knowing what an effect does), and given the player little control on a feature that could be expanded (Customization). But the game also comes with great features, such as a large open book of monsters and enemies, each with unique AI and amazing designs, a large inventory of items and weapons for the player to choose from, a rich experience with it's dynamic visuals and effects. I adore this game, and I hope this small little discussion doesn't affect potential buyers at all.

Try playing a round of LoD in which you scour each room on every level, including checking for hidden doors and making certain that you do not have nearly identical (same name / different stats) weapons in your inventory and see if there's any change in the amount of weapon pick-ups.

I've done that a few times, and yeah the weapon drops increase, but not by an amount that I would call significant. Usually, the only way for me to even get better weapons, is either buy farming a monster that can drop one, or by getting lucky and finding a room with a Blacksmith to improve my normal sword.
I think it's fairly obvious, most people who don't like this game simply haven't learned the mechanics. Yes they could add a small tutorial, but this is why you play through your painful deaths. As soon as you find say a blacksmith or a shop, you are basically set. Magic, always good (except when you try to use a book and it summons an angry minotaur, or summons a cat over lava). Everytime I play it's a whole new adventure. Fought a unicorn once, then used it's head as a hammer (+181 to attack, very nice). Point is you gotta play it all, good and bad. Patience is key, and the payoff is always soooo worth it.
Well I mean, I can understand that, that is basically why this game is a rogue-like/rouge-lite game. It just sometimes feels like it lacks a lot of items that can improve your survival. But the idea of having to rely on a Blacksmith (which as is, has a really low chance of appearing) takes a lot of the game play's fun away. Again, this is all personal opinion. But well, if the tavern had maybe a way to buy equipment, or the ability to heal your self (I mean, it's a tavern, the idea of a weapon's merchant being there for a drink wouldn't be too far fetched. Or even better, paying that chef to cook you a good meal, maybe something other than apples, meat, pies, I don't know, something other than apples).

The bad for me is the char.
Would be nice if they was done a lot better, puts me off playing it tbh because the graphics of them are so ugly.

I can understand that, maybe a new body type for them, or like I said, a much more personal configuration system for more customization would be nice.
