Is this a good dungeon crawler?
This game looks interesting but the 65% metacritic made it seem suspect.
Does this have some sort of major flaw or something?

It's a very simple, straightforward' game without a great deal of depth. However, is it worth more than an average cup of coffee at a buck fitty on sale? Yes.

I'm a dev so I'm biased, but if you look deeper, the user reviews are at 78. http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/legend-of-dungeon

As far as I can tell, since we are a fairly niche game, we just got unfairly/harshly judged by a few of the sites.
The only "flaw" I know of is that we don't currently have a way to save the game, but we are working on that right now (streaming live actually! http://t.co/yubysY5YDE)

We designed the game with very strong influences from the game that caused rogue-like to be a thing. You have randomized dungeons potions, and music on each run, secret doors, traps and a pile of apples to keep you from dying (but you will anyway).. but you can play with a controller, so it's easy to pick up and play, even if it's hard to beat

I hope other people pipe in with their thoughts!

I haven't played too much of the game, but I think it's a fun little dungeon-crawler. Especially for this steal sale price of 85% off. I think my biggest gripe with it is just the inventory. I find myself getting a lot of items but I'm not really sure what to do with them. Sifting through them is a huge hassle and I don't know if you can sell them or not yet. Besides that it's really fun. I played it with my fiance and we had a good run with it. Made it to level 9 or 10 before dying.

Also, really like the idea of the save feature, devs! Keep up the great work and thanks for this fun game!

Just wanted to clarify that players are unable to save their progress in the game?

Bought the game based on this alone. =)

Evil Genius, currently you can pause the game, but you can't save. Once the update is out you'll be able to save when you quit out. Please understand that this is made by just my husband and I, it's our first major release, and the game was originally supposed to be much smaller scope. Needless to say, we've been learning a lot!

In my opinion this is one of the best independent games I've seen this year. It has clever jokes and good difficulty and puzzles.

Metacritic is what has a flaw. Pretty much every review site of some sort does, you pretty much need to look at a variety of review sites and videos and make your own choice from that on any game.
Looking forward to getting this at some point myself.

How soon can we expect an update? Interested in the game but a no save feature is a deal breaker for me
Tropheus Dec 30, 2013 @ 8:33pm
I'm going to buy the game, just wish it had online co-op!
Mole Dec 30, 2013 @ 8:36pm
it is an excellent game

I thought the samething but for 1.50 you might as well buy it now.

I only played one game for about 20 minutes but it's a fun little game. Very simple. Sometimes simple can be good.

The only problem I had was something someone else mentioned, I wish it was easier to navigate the doors. The color of the door seems to change if you've gone through it before but it would be nice to know if after you've been through a door if it's a deadend room or not.

I don't think it matters what price a game is. if there was a no save feature on a game such as Bioshock selling for $1, does that mean I should buy it? Deliberately being ignorant of a concern of one potential customer isn't the right approach
